Manchester United striker was stretchered off while receiving oxygen early in their game against Southampton at Old Trafford on Saturday, following a blow to the head by Southampton player Wesley Hoedt. Latest Sports News reports..
Jose Mourinho confirmed there is “no problem” with the striker and he will only miss a week of action for protection.
“I’d say [Romelu will be out for] a week. It’s nothing really important, just a little protection, but no problem,” Mourinho told Sky Sports.
“No Lukaku or Ibrahimovic means we don’t have a number nine, as you normally call a target man, that we’re used to playing, so we have to change.
“If you don’t have a player like Lukaku or a normal replacement like Zlatan, you have to play with the qualities we have. You have to forget that way of playing with a target man, because we don’t have [one].
“We have what we have. We trust the players – they want to give everything like they have been since the first minute of the season.”
