Arsenal eye brahimi
Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a transfer move for Yacine Brahimi after the midfielder was left out of Porto’s Champions League squad in midweek.
Brahimi has scored 21 goals in 85 appearances for Porto since making his debut for the Primeira Liga outfit back in 2014 but the 26-year-old is now being linked with the Gunners.
The north London club are eyeing the Algeria international after missing out on his international team-mate Riyad Mahrez who signed a new deal at Leicester City last week.
It’s understood Porto would be prepared to sell Brahimi for a fee of £40million – it remains to be seen whether Arsene Wenger would be willing to splash the cash to land the highly-rated star.
Chelsea have long been admirers of Brahimi and could rival Arsenal for his signature before the summer transfer window closes on August 31.
